Submit Nomination for Alumna, Young Alumna of the Year

Presentation Academy’s Alumnae Board meets monthly to plan fundraising events for the Sisterhood Scholarship and to promote our school. For more information, contact Alumnae Coordinator Karen Schneider ‘77 at kschneider@presentationacademy.org.

The Presentation Sisterhood Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship awarded to an incoming freshman. It is renewable each year as long as the recipient remains in good standing at Presentation Academy. The scholarship is funded from proceeds from Alumnae Board events, such as Hats Off, Class Reunions, “Dining Out” fundraisers, and alumnae donations. The Alumnae Board’s financial commitment to this scholarship fund will grow by $1,000 each year for four years. The Board’s goal is that the fundraising will exceed the commitment, enabling it to award additional scholarships in the future.

The Presentation Sisterhood Scholarship recipient will be a young lady who exhibits characteristics fostered by our alma mater: inclusivity, individuality and servant leadership. She will be selected by an Alumnae Board subcommittee based on her submission of a personal essay where she describes how she has demonstrated or aspires to demonstrate the characteristics of a Pres Girl. This scholarship is intended to recognize and encourage leadership, determination, collaboration, participation, acceptance of others, the celebration of differences, and the coming together for something bigger than oneself.

To donate, visit the scholarships page and choose “Presentation Sisterhood Scholarship” in the dropdown menu. You may also donate through Venmo, @presentationacademy. Questions? Contact Director of Development Elizabeth Ruwe at eruwe@presentationacademy.org or (502) 583-5935 ext. 121.
