Help Pres Go Green(er)
Presentation Academy is continuing our solar panel project – and will have 96 panels installed on the roof of the Arts and Athletic Center by the end of April. Already, Presentation can assess the outputs of the Phase 1 and 2 solar panels through access to an energy monitoring app, Solar Edge. Through the app, Presentation faculty and staff can within seconds view the current power generated by the panels, the solar panel capacity, today’s energy output, the total energy generated, carbon dioxide reduction, and data over time. Phase 1 of the project resulted in 11,000 kilowatt hours generated and eight tons of carbon dioxide reduction.
We couldn't have done this without local environmental youth group OurEarthNow, the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth and local donors. Thank you! We also have two generous alumnae from the Class of 1964, Pat Peet and Cathy Shoemaker, who have graciously started our campaign. Thank you, Pat and Cathy!
Help us raised additional funds for an increased number of solar panels! To donate, type "Solar Panels" in the Comment Box or mail in a check to Presentation Academy, 861 S. Fourth St., Louisville, Ky., 40203. You can also donate through Venmo, @presentationacademy.
For more information, contact Director of Development Elizabeth Ruwe at eruwe@presentationacademy.org.
