Louisville, KY (August 19, 2021) – Presentation Academy, Louisville’s original Catholic school, is proud to announce Dr. Amy Skretny Fowler as its new athletic director.
Dr. Fowler is one of eight female Athletic Directors in Louisville and most recently served as the Director of Athletics and Physical Education/Health Specialist at the Virginia Chance School in Louisville, Ky.

Under her leadership, Pres is ready to build on its athletic excellence."
"I am thrilled to be joining the staff of Presentation Academy,” Amy Skretny Fowler, Ed.D said. “As the graduate of an all-girls high school I know the value of an education that emphasizes both academics and athletics. Participation in sports fosters the development of confidence, personal success, and teamwork. My goal will be to engage our young women in becoming athletes now and athletes for life."
Presentation Academy’s recent athletic achievements include winning the 2020 All ‘A’ State Volleyball Championship and the 2020 6th Region All ‘A’ Basketball Championship. Three graduating seniors signed to play collegiate athletics last year, and senior golfer Addi Croslin ’22 was named one of the Top 10 Girls Golfers in the Louisville Area this season by the Courier Journal.
Dr. Fowler will replace current athletic director Charlie Hall who announced his retirement after three years at Pres.
Presentation Academy offers 14 competitive sports, with 65 percent of Pres Girls playing at least one sport and 30 percent of student-athletes playing two or more.
About Dr. Amy Skretny Fowler: Dr. Amy Skretny Fowler has been on staff at the Virginia Chance School for the past 17 years, both as an administrator in the role of Director of Communications and as a teacher for all elementary grades in the role of Director of Athletics and Physical Education/Health Specialist. Dr Fowler was most recently the Assistant Varsity girls’ soccer coach and Head Coach of the boys and girls JV and Varsity tennis teams at Kentucky Country Day School. She is certified as an Accredited Interscholastic Coach through the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) and has had the opportunity to guide athletes in the college recruitment process. She has earned a Doctor of Education, Leadership Education from Spalding University; a Master of Education, College Counseling and Student Personnel Work from the University of Buffalo; and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Music from the Nazareth College of Rochester.
