LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Presentation Academy welcomes Elizabeth Ruwe as its new Director of Development. In this role, she will provide innovative and strategic leadership and planning and management for the Advancement Office. She will also be responsible for not only reaching set goals but also designing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive institutional fundraising program for the school.
“We are so excited to have Elizabeth join our Presentation Academy family,” President Laura Dills ’94 said. “Her past professional experience as well as her passion to work for an all-girls school similar to the one she attended in Ohio makes her a perfect fit for our team.”
Most recently, Ruwe was the Events Specialist for the American Red Cross Kentucky Region. Her responsibilities included leading the annual Wrapped In Red Gala, the Kentucky Region's premier event welcoming 800 guests, and the Disaster Blaster, the region’s second largest fundraiser with 450 guests. She previously served almost four years in the fundraising office for Cooperative for Education, a non-profit based in Guatemala where she worked on events and mid-level/major gifts teams, as well as helping with marketing and social media. She also served as the Community Engagement Manager for the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio.
“Ever since my first college internship, I have been determined to work for organizations that I am passionate about,” Ruwe said. “I have always been interested in fundraising for an all-girls school, and Pres is the ideal fit for me. Pres is perfectly located downtown, it’s steeped in tradition, it’s diverse, there is an environmental focus, and I can already tell that it is a school dedicated to leadership and female empowerment. When it comes to making a positive impact, I am going to do everything I can to raise money for Pres and ensure that every girl who wants to come to Pres can receive the financial aid she needs.”
