Phase Two: Renovation of the Historic 1893 Academic Building

Constructed in 1893 in the Romanesque Style by D.X. Murphy and Brothers, (the same architectural firm that designed the famous twin spires at Churchill Downs), the historic Presentation building and the Tower grace the southeastern corner of Fourth and Breckinridge Streets. Though minor renovations and regular maintenance have kept the building operational for the last 118+ years, the Presentation Academy Board of Trustees has BOLDLY determined that the time for a complete renovation is nearing. The cost for Phase Two will be $10 million and will provide:
- Increased safety and greater accessibility
- A greater means for technological advances
- A competitive position/attractive option to new students
- Eco- Friendly upgrades
Phase Three: Endowment for Scholarships and Financial Assistance
Presentation Academy maintains a modest endowment. Annual earnings are used for operations and student financial assistance. The endowment helps keep tuition affordable. In order to continue the long legacy of providing financial assistance and scholarships to our students and their families, the Board of Trustees BOLDLY plans to increase the endowment by at least $1 million in this third of three phases of the Tower Vision Capital Campaign.
- 45% of students receive financial assistance totaling $334,000
- Need for additional scholarship dollars
- Facility Maintenance
- Operational Support
